Phil ST John Speaks Out: Okay, I finally got in on the craze and put my name on a solo movie. Now, I ghost directed a few solo flicks for John Summers,but frankly, I never saw the fascination with these lonesome jerk off videos. I used a lot of mirrors for the Summers' solos, so it seemed the scenes were two-ways, but how far can you go with that? So when Pacific Sun asked me to do a solo movie, I wondered how do you reinvent the wheel? I just decided to get the guys to do the kinkiest things I could think of and offered them up a menu of depraved self abuse ideas to pick from. You know how sexed-up models are - give them a chance to go crazy-sex-creative and they all came through! Then, once ALL AMERICAN BEAUTIES was released, so many big-dick-freaks out there dug this strange little movie, that it was nominated it for best solo movie of the year. On the Hollywood side of things, one summer afternoon I was off to a trendy, Hollywood Hills pool party, thrown by the producer of AMERICAN BEAUTIES. I brought along a copy of my DVD, clapped him on the back, handed him ALL AMERICAN BEAUTIES and said," You know you made it in Hollywood when a porno movie apes one of your biggest hits. "The solos video features .. great looking men (Tommy Saxx, Tom Adams, Alex Wilcox, Sonny Markham, and Johnny Thrust) getting off with the aid of flowers, trees, fruits, and sea shells.
